Once the product is sold, it has to be delivered at place, usually at the house of the consumer. But almost 1/3 of the times, when the product is delivered at home the consumer is not there to make the reception, so the delivery cannot be completed.
In order to find a solution to this problem, new methodologies are being applied: technology, big data, drons, or even solutions more simple as creating a “reception place” where the company deliver the product and the consumer can take it. This reception places can be stores, or box offices or even lockers.
In both cases, the reception are implemented though a “reception code” which would be needed to open the box offices or locker as a password.
Companies as Amazon are already implementing these methodologies.
